Jordan Clarke "IRONMAN Challenge"

On Sunday July 16th Jordan Clarke completed an amazing feat of human endurance when he competed in the Bolton Iron Man competition to raise funds for Redbridge High School. In just over ten hours, Jordan ran a marathon, cycled 112 miles and swam 2 ½ miles. At time of going to print Jordan had raised over £1600 for Redbridge!
As well as being in awe at his success, all the pupils and staff at Redbridge are very grateful to Jordan for his gesture of support.

Jordan Clarke Crossing the Finishing Line.

"Originally I wasn't going to tell many people about doing Ironman just because of how tough the day is going to be, and I'm not even sure if I'll actually make it to the finish line... however, it seems like to good an opportunity to miss raising money for such a great cause!!!

My mum works with these children on a weekly basis and comes home with tales of all the energy, happy faces and how inspiring all the children are despite any difficulties that they face. Many people, including myself at times, do not realise how fortunate we all are, but hearing these stories helps bring a sense of perspective to things.

Even my Nan was touched by all the children when she attended the school show; becoming inspired by the courage, bravery and positivity of all of the children.

Hopefully any money that we can raise will go towards helping the great job that all the teachers and staff are doing at Redbridge High School"
